Integrations let external apps read your shop's stock or buy boosts. For example, you can sync stock to an oripa site, or show boosted buy prices on a landing page or in X posts.

:::note
Integrations have to be switched on for each shop before you can use them. If you don't see **Integrations** under **Settings**, contact Toreca Cloud support.
:::

Only owners and admins can add or disconnect partners. Other members can view connection status.

## How an integration is set up

The shop registers the partner app, and then the partner asks the shop to connect.

1. **The shop adds the partner**

    Under **Settings** › **Integrations**, add the partner and choose what it
    may do. You get a client ID and client secret.

2. **Hand the details to the partner's developer**

    Share the issued details with the partner's developer in a secure way.

3. **A shop member approves the connection**

    When the partner app starts a connection, Toreca Cloud's approval screen
    opens. A member of the shop signs in, checks what's requested and approves
    it to finish connecting.

How to build the partner app is covered in the developer [API reference](/en/api).

## Add a partner

1. **Open the dialog**

    Under **Settings** › **Integrations**, click **Add partner**.

2. **Enter the partner's details**

    Enter a **Display name** and **Type**. The display name appears on the
    approval screen and in lists. Type is Oripa, Marketplace, Business system or
    Other. Under **Redirect URLs**, enter the URLs the partner's developer gave
    you, one per line.

3. **Choose what it may do**

    Under **What it may do**, choose what the partner can read. The options are
    described in the next section.

4. **Add it and keep the secret**

    Click **Add partner**. The **Client ID**, **Client secret** and **Resource**
    are shown. Pass these to the partner's developer.

:::warning
The client secret isn't shown again once you close this screen. If it's lost, create a new one with **Regenerate secret**. The old secret stops working as soon as you regenerate it.
:::

## What it may do

You can allow the following. At least one of reading stock or reading buy boosts must be allowed.

| Option                                       | What it allows                                                                                              |
| -------------------------------------------- | ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| Read stock (sync sites, locations and units) | Syncs your sites, locations and stock units to the partner. For oripa services and stock-management systems |
| Allow holding, releasing and shipping stock | Lets the partner hold stock and take it through to shipping. Available only while reading stock is allowed |
| Allow moving and taking out stock | Lets the partner move stock or take it out. Available only while reading stock is allowed |
| Read buy boosts | Publishes boosted buy prices and how many are left. No stock is shown |

For apps that only use buy boosts, such as landing pages and X posts, allow **Read buy boosts** only. What partners receive is described in [Buy boosts](/en/guides/purchase/purchase-boosts).

The approval screen lists what you allowed. Customer details, purchase cases and appraisal notes are never shared with any partner.

## Manage connections

**Connected partners** lists each connected partner with what it's allowed to do, how many units are allocated to it, and how many it has on hold.

### Limit the stock a partner sees

For partners that read stock, you can limit what they see. Click **Change visible stock** and choose **All stock** or **Allocated stock only**. With **Allocated stock only**, the partner can read and hold only the units allocated to it under Partner allocations in Inventory.

### Pause a partner

Partners your shop added can be paused with **Pause**. While paused, the partner can't read stock, or hold and ship it, even though it's still connected. Units it already holds stay on hold. Click **Resume** to undo.

### Disconnect a partner

1. **Choose to disconnect**

    Under **Connected partners**, click **Disconnect** for the partner.

2. **Enter a reason and confirm**

    Enter a **Reason for disconnecting** and click **Disconnect**.

Once disconnected, the partner can no longer read your stock, or hold and ship it. To use it again, the partner has to connect again.

:::warning
Holds the partner made stay after you disconnect. Ship those units or cancel the holds from Outbound orders in Inventory.
:::

Adding, editing, regenerating secrets, pausing and disconnecting are all recorded in the audit log. In the audit log, filter by **Integration actions (all)** to see them.
