title: Connect your app
description: Add Toreca Cloud to Claude Code, Claude or Cursor so your AI agent can use it.
---

Whatever the app, the only thing you register is the MCP URL `https://api.toreca-cloud.com/mcp`. The first connection then asks you to approve in your browser.

**Claude Code**

Run this in your terminal:

```bash
claude mcp add torecacloud --transport http https://api.toreca-cloud.com/mcp
```

Open `/mcp` in Claude Code, select `torecacloud` and authenticate. When the browser opens, sign in to Toreca Cloud and approve.

**Claude (claude.ai and desktop)**

In Settings, open Connectors and add a custom connector. Enter `https://api.toreca-cloud.com/mcp` as the URL, add it, and start connecting it. Sign in to Toreca Cloud in the browser and approve; the connector is then available in your chats.

**Cursor**

Add this to `~/.cursor/mcp.json` (or your project's `.cursor/mcp.json`):

```json
{
  "mcpServers": {
    "torecacloud": { "url": "https://api.toreca-cloud.com/mcp" }
  }
}
```

Open the MCP list in Cursor's settings and authenticate `torecacloud`.

## Approve in your browser

1. **Sign in**

    Sign in with your Toreca Cloud account. If you belong to several shops,
    switch to the shop you want to use first.

2. **Pick a work role**

    Choose the role that fits the work at hand. If unsure, start with View only
    ([work roles](/en/mcp/roles)).

3. **Approve**

    Press Allow to return to your app. The connection appears under Settings ›
    MCP; you're done when its status shows Enabled.

## Check the connection

Ask your agent to "run whoami on Toreca Cloud". If it returns your account, your shop and the permissions you can use, you're connected.

:::tip
A connection ends 12 hours after you approve it. When it does, re-authenticate from `/mcp` in Claude Code, or reconnect the same way in other apps.
